SPECIFICATIONS

  • The WORX Nitro 20V is a cordless HVLP (High Volume, Low Pressure) paint sprayer built around the WORX “Nitro” line, which emphasizes higher performance, efficiency, and compatibility with WORX’s Power Share battery ecosystem.

  • It’s intended for small to medium-sized jobs in and around the home — e.g. fences, cabinets, furniture, walls, trim — not heavy industrial spraying.

  • Because it’s cordless, it's more mobile, but battery runtime and spray consistency become key limiting factors.

What “Wide / Narrow Spray Patterns, Multiple Nozzles, Easy Cleaning, Fast” Really Mean

Wide / Narrow Spray Patterns

  • There’s a spray width lever (or adjustment on the nozzle head) that lets you switch between wider fan patterns (for broad areas) and narrow / “tight” sprays (for edges, trim, detail work).

  • Combined with different nozzle sizes, you can better control how much paint spreads out vs. penetrating detail.

  • On some versions / markets, there are three spray "shapes" (horizontal, vertical, circular) to adapt to the orientation of your work.

Multiple Nozzles

  • The sprayer typically includes 4 nozzle tips: 1.5 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.2 mm, 2.6 mm.

  • Each size suits different paint viscosities: smaller tips for thinner materials (e.g. stain, clear coats), larger tips for heavier paints (latex, primers).

  • The nozzle kit (WA1480) is available separately and compatible with this sprayer.

Easy Cleaning

  • Since paint (especially latex or stains) can gum up the interior, ease of cleanup is critical. This unit supports fairly straightforward cleaning: parts detach, can be soaked, and there’s a garden hose adapter so you can flush the internal passages with water.

  • A wire brush and declogging needle are included to scrub and clear nozzle blockages.

  • Despite this, you must clean right after every use; letting paint dry inside the unit shortens life and leads to clogs.

Fast Operation (Compared to Brush / Roller)

  • The sprayer can cover surfaces more quickly than manual brushing or rolling, particularly for larger surfaces, siding, fences, etc.

  • But “fast” has limits: you’ll need time for refills (paint tank only 1 liter), battery changes or recharges, and cleaning. The 17-minute estimated runtime (on a full charge) is modest.

  • The brushless motor helps maintain consistent spray even as battery drains (compared to brushed motors which might lose performance).

Strengths, Limitations & Use Tips

Strengths / What It Does Well

  • Portability & Convenience — no cords or hoses restricting movement.

  • Good control — adjustable flow, multiple nozzles, spray width control give you flexibility across surfaces.

  • Efficient motor — brushless design runs cooler and longer, improving durability.

  • Battery ecosystem — if you already own WORX 20V tools, you reuse batteries and charger.

  • Reasonable tank size — 34 oz gives you a fair amount of continuous work.

  • Relatively easy cleanup (for an air-sprayer) compared to some DIY units, thanks to the hose flush adapter.
